celticheavens | Just to prove that I'm still alive

So here's a quick post to show that I've not succumbed to the relentless assault of projects, presentations and papers. Mum's birthday was a couple of days ago, and me being the bum I am only managed to finish her card and get her gift several days after. In my defence, I was sick in bed thanks to an asthma relapse which was further exacerbated by fever. Perfect way to start the lunar new year eh? :D Story of my life.

Behold inaccurate anatomy and oddly shaped squiggles!

Here's a hastily sketched picture inspired by a deviantart piece! It's supposed to incorporate the element of water (Aquarius) in the design but since I didn't ink it properly, it looks like a wonderful mess! :D Thus I suggest viewing it from a distance to create an illusion that it is complex yet well drawn. The reason why I didn't mind doing a slipshod job on this was because the highlight of her gift was the earrings my bro and I got her, not the card. The card's more for tradition's sake... Which is still going strong even after nearly 15 years! :D

Back to my mountain of work! :D Such is a life of a university student...
