It's one thing to draw for fun and another to draw for a... Bigger cause? Especially when you are doing designs for your club, you want it to be done to the best of your ability. Partly because you don't want others to laugh at it, partly because I hate delivering something I deem as mediocre or 'unseeable'. That led me on a super long process of drawing, redrawing, colouring and recolouring. The premise was to create chibi mascots for each of the three departments in my club (Productions, Public Relations and Member Relations), which will be introduced during the upcoming Freshies Fair along with the new club structure. And since I've never really fully designed anything and stuck with it (even with my OCs), that was a huge problem. It meant that I couldn't randomly draw lines because there's a high possiblility that I needed to recreate them in the future D:.

Getting into the right mindset to design them was rather difficult... Especially since I need to visualise each chibi from all angles. Colour selection was a pain (since I'm pretty much a default colour = black person when I dress...) but after browsing through my closet, it got SLIGHTLY better. Drawing poses was another obstacle for me, seeing how I'm terrible with anatomy in general @__@;;. Took me several tries and some references before I could get them right, and even so, I don't think they are fully accurate DDDD:. All the complaints aside, I actually had quite a lot of fun doing the chibis. It was the first time I was this determined to properly design characters and to stick to my drawing schedule (which was really difficult since I was, and am still barely at home daily...). So I'm happy :D. Not bad for a first timer!

Presenting the CAS Chibis!

Sorry for the watermark @_________@. But since this isn't just for my own personal use, I can't just sign off and be done with it.. That aside, the chibis were named to make them more relatable xD. So it's Fae-chan for Productions, Kei-chan for Public Relations and twins Yui and Rui-chan for Members Relations! Why twins for the last one? Because I've a natural bias towards females but I didn't want the guys to feel left out. -.-;; So to ensure equality, twins! That'll make 2 male and 2 female chibis! Fae's supposed to be more... Quirky because she's the artistic one (drawing, writing, desiging, crafts etc); Kei's the cooler hardworking dude who manages the club's relations outside (hence the more 'suave' look? LOL); the twins... Well, I couldn't think of an outfit which embodied the typical anime fan so... Random jackets (because jackets make everything cooler) and Gundam inspired pants (cosplay)! Camera for the photography lovers and cards for potential duelists! I'm assuming the 'couch potato' kinda fans will just go, "Oh! Chibis! I like!" so yea OTL. Did I mention the chibis have their own individual writeups? :D Courtesy of daemon_angelus, since I work so slowly that all I could do until today was draw. I better head off to bed since I've to wake by 8am tomorrow. FML. Why on earth did I pack my schedule again?

Holy crap, the mid-terms are finally over. I can actually breathe. -.-;; This is becoming terrible for my health and hobbies. I've also realised that I'd not written a proper fiction piece in over 2 years. Fml. I'm starting to think I can no longer write... On the bright side, I've finished the lineart for a chibi version of my new Gaia avvie! I regret using a 5 pt brush instead of the normal 3 pt brush. I might just reink it. Sigh. I don't even know when is the next time I can finish this up too...

I need to draw more often. Sigh.


Bleh, I'm also tempted to do a headshot of a non-chibi version of her. D: Damn it.

Ah... June. The month of summer. And of course, my birthday month. ;) Sadly, it is also the birthday of several of my good friends (and all before me too humph). So instead of going 'HAHA, THEY need to get me something!', I'm stuck with 'OMG I need to rush out gifts before MY birthday >.<;;;;'. -.-;; Anyway, don't get me wrong though! I love doing presents for my good friends! :D It's just that rushing them makes me feel a tad @_@ and at the same time -.-;; since it is my birthday month too xD. So needless to say, they are all belated gifts HAHA.

Instead of happily enjoying the remnants of the time I've left here, I'm stuck rushing gift art. xD. So on the bright side, I managed to rush one of the and completed it last night! :D And that was despite me needing to wake earlier today too so be happy you-know-who!!! I actually wanted to make it more elaborate but as with all my other art endeavors... That didn't work out as planned either HAHA. But I do like how the shirt and hair came out! But nothing else sadly -.-;; I really need to learn how to do proper lineart instead of sloppily tracing my original artwork -.-;;. Oh well. It works still right? ^^;; Was actually going to do a Cyndaquil but bleh. Since it was almost midnight when I was done, I threw in a doodle of a Pikachu celebrating as well! :D And after reading her reply earlier, I'm glad she liked it. If not, I'll hunt after her with a cleaver, I mean sigh in defeat.

Yay! I've finally gotten down to doing some Bleach fanart! With my obsession with my top 3 bishies, I've decided to do *le gasp* chibis!!! Since I can hardly draw them, I thought this might be a good time to practice. My style of course (my chibis are otherwise epic fail). So here's a sneak preview to my first chibi :). I might just do a range of them O_O. For Gotei 13 at least. Inking's a little off but meh. It shouldn't be too obvious when coloured in. I could have sworn it was cuter on paper. -.-

I've always wanted to do a 'vandalised' sneak preview! XD You should still be able to see it and all but mwhahahaha. My forum friend suggested that for fun and for watermark purposes O_O. So I decided to give it a shot. I'll probably touchup the lineart a little more or something next time. XD Anyway time to sleep! @_@ No idea when I can colour it though -.-.
