Since I thought my schedule was still rather, empty then, I decided to open up requests at TDN after some encouragement from one of the resident artists there. I was worried I wouldn't be able to handle the requests (like before D:) but decided hey, I'm the one taking requests so they should be willing to wait instead of me fretting about churning out requests like a machine D<. Requests have been flooding in but hey, I'm only doing them when I've the time and frankly, doing one a day is kinda pushing it given the amount of other things I've to do.

First 4!

Don't get me wrong, I love drawing and Neopets holds a special place in my heart so I'm happy to give back to the community again. I'm just a tad upset about how my schedule always explodes after I commit to other stuff D:. Woe is me! And I can see quite a bit of improvement in my art so all the more reason I should carry on! 'Sides, when else do I spend a couple of hours rushing out a piece of work? :P Great for learning how to speed draw + colour!

Just before I opened the board, I insisted on making a new forum set :X. I showed one of my forum friend the KaiJou picture I drew and she pretty much went, 'Make a set out of that!!!', which I did in the end :D!



I'm on a simplicity row! xD Concept based on my profile graphic because I'm lazy like that. And I'm out of creative juice D:.

Ok, scratch what I said in my previous post. I should just revert back to writing for now. -.-;; My uncoloured sketches look fine but argh. Once I've lined them and filled them in however... T_T Not to mention it's been tooooo long since I've drawn anything D:. My arm's aching after a quick 30 mins sketch! Woe is me D:.

The shame!
I've never drawn chombies before, or plushies for that matter, so I was like, I can't draw them like I draw my usual quads, but I don't think I can copy the Neopets' style either so... Fugly mashup ftw! :D But the whole plushie concept was fun, so maybe I'll try something like that and do a proper job next time. Meh. Lazy shading because I just woke from a nap before sketching :D.

Since I was rather... Unsatisfied with my Neopets sketch, I decided to do another quickie. So I tried to doodle humans. @_@ Not sure if that was a good idea or not...

Sketchy!
Since I've only doodled Hetalia chracters twice or something, I decided to try Prussia! His hairstyle is similar to Seto's anyway so I figured why not? (Which is probably why the sketch looks more like Seto than Gilbert DDDDD:!) I can't seem to capture that 'evilness' Prussia usually exudes! D: Or his smexiness. Probably due to my sketches of guys looking like prepubescent boys usually. /hides in hole I think I better stick to writing for now indeed. ^^;;

Argh, I really need to learn to sleep earlier =/. Despite it being recess week, I need to head back to school later today and tomorrow D:. So much for waking past noon for the week. Anyway, managed to finish the next sketch request earlier yesterday afternon :D. I'm actually quite happy with how it'd turned out!



Thankfully I find drawing Draiks quite a joy since I kinda like dragons in the first place xD. It's not exactly an accurate depiction of the Neopet itself, but a slightly yours truly's take on how they look like (e.g no whiskers, spots on wings are missing, extra toes for hind feet etc). I can see a ton of errors with the clothes and other stuff I can just rant on about but xD. It was a quickie done in under an hour. I'm happy. Did I mention I had a ton of fun drawing the 'folds' for the clothes? This was probably the only time I did them without fretting nonstop about how I'd screw them up heh!

I just realised that the other two Draiks have terribly complicated outfits too fml. Why can't I get a nice stripped pet or something?! Hope I'll be able to finish the other 4 pending requests (and repeated requests from previous people lying in my inbox) before break ends D:.

I shall never listen to music videos when drawing on Photoshop unless I relish the idea of laggy brush strokes. I was silly enough to listen to the videos instead of the pure mp3 version HAHA. Anyway, was pondering as to what to draw yesterday and decided I should do a gift art for a friend of mine :D. It's a nice way of cheering someone up too HAHA. Picking from her crazy list of permies, I decided to do one of her Pirate Xweetok :D. I mean I did draw xweetoks several times before so maybe that was why I picked it xD. Lazy me.


Arrrrrr!

I do like how this piece turned out :D. Not perfect but a lot better than the usual 1-2 hour nonsense I toss out. I see shading mistakes, anatomy errors and some unclean lines etc but bleh. I just felt like I wanted to do a proper looking one for once :D. It's nothing when compared to some of the crazily talented artists out there but it's my own personal improvement so I'm still happy :D. Besides, what made my day was when my friend told me she liked it :P.

So here's to hoping I churn out more decent nonsense next time!

Keep forgetting/putting aside posting recently. =/ I've managed to make a gallery, with quite a fair bit of affordable items as well as code a layout for it! :D There are still some bugs in the coding of the shop blog though, but it'll have to do for now since I'm unable to find out what's wrong with my coding. @_@



So this is the shop blog without coding etc. It doesn't look too bad, although I find it a tad messy xD. It exudes my personality so I left it there. And I had a large enough ego to use my handwriting for almost all the graphics on the page! :D It is MY gallery afterall... Want to see more? You know you want to! The theme is Dreams/wishes. :D Different from your typical galleries I guess? But it makes it harder to find suitable items which fit perfectly into the theme. =/ Oh well. At least it's aptly titled as 'A dream is a wish your heart makes' right? (Familar no?) Still, you should MUST see it! At least see the layout (ignore the shop blog coding problem unless you can tell me how to fix it) and see if you can donate some items to me! :D So there!

I've decided to put the adoptables idea on hold since I've received 2 dream pets from random strangers! :DDD One is a Tyrannian Peophin while the other's a Maraquan Uni! Which means I don't have to apply for the latter! :D The former's Nirrozin while the latter's Apanthropy! I've managed to get a Faerie Xweetok in a trade too so that'll be 3 dreamies achieved and a hell lot of money to spend. Think I've spent 3m so far and spending more thanks to the arrival of Arbouran today :D. Oh well. They *are* permies...

I've also opened my first doodles request board on the BC boards 3 days ago and took around 8 requests or so. I'll post them up when I've completed them all, 2 more to go! So that's all I've been doing recently. Drawing my behind off xD. I'm almost tempted to make a graphics request board on TDN too ^^;;. I'm biting more than I can chew huh.

Ah so it's time to post about my Koi Adoptables! Or soon to come Koi Adoptables rather XD. I actually started on the idea during the last couple of days in 2009 but just got down to finishing the basic Koi along with doing one in another colour during the past couple of days in Jan 2010. I started out with a sketch and posted it on the neoboards for comments since the people there are (hopefully) going to be the ones adopting. The feedback was generally positive to I went ahead with the idea and did up a coloured version. Posted that up too, along with a thread in TDN forums and once more most people liked it (or were just trying not to hurt my feelings and be polite about it). After a day of slacking off and just stalking other artists for requests on the neoboards, I've decided to try and create a different coloured Koi to see how much work that'll take. So I ended up finishing up a Blue Koi at 1+am last night (or morning rather). It doesn't look half bad so there! I'll probably do the rest slowly I guess and probably the basic coloured ones first. So hopefully, it'll be a wonderful addition to my future petpage for Meia! :3







There were more intermediates but hey, I don't think it's necessary to post every single one of them seeing that there are not much changes in the first place. Not to mention they are too messy for the eyes of others XD. The adoptables will not have the watermarks when up but since I've not done the complete collection and posted them up, watermarked them to prevent thieves from posting them up first and claiming credit. -.-. Anyway, off to dinner, I've guests over. Hopefully I'll be able to do another coloured one by tonight! :D

Ah, finally got my behind down to doing more 'art', even if it's just random half an hour doodles which look like crap. XD It's surprisingly easy to just doodle Meia despite only really drawing her once (Remember the Beauty Contest piece?) so to kick start my mini drawing spree, I've decided to do one of Meia. Well it's actually to kick start my motivation to start and perhaps finish her petpage. Which means I need to do up a lot more PROPER art, a PROPER story (goodness, I've not even started on my other planned fanfics... T_T), along with asking for fanart etc... And my mum complains that I'm 'free'! >.< Anyway here's the sketch.





I thought it looked rather cute :D. Well, was wondering if the base is good enough to be that of an adoptable.. But I may do another which has a lot cleaner a base instead for adoptables... Still, I can use this in the future layout of Meia's petpage! Yes, I'm lazy XD. The quote in the coloured background image is probably going to be Meia's official quote ;). I like it, do you? Off to doodle more I guess! :D

Argh. I knew it was a bad idea to wake at 7.30am when I slept at almost 2am... >.< But a girl's gotta study! I've not touched anything for physics, which is in less than 4 hours I think.

Anyway here's a quick one. I did a rough sketch for a friend when she was feeling down to cheer her up. Since I was still in the Neopets drawing mood, I sketched one of her neopets before it was zapped.

There're soooooo many mistakes (so don't lecture me about the anatomy) but I can't be bothered fixing them. XD It was a sketch afterall... And it did have its intended effect :).

I was bored for a couple of days after so I wanted to try making graphics once more. Being less ambitious, I did a simple msn icon to kick start my rusted engines.



Simple yes, but whatever. I'm sure I've lost 90% of my graphic skills. -.-

Off to study physics now. Pray I pass.

Just slacking off for a while, for now, until time for me to revise Math anyway.

Anyway, here is the button for my Neopet's userlookup! I did post it on my real blog but oh wells. Just finished the button today anyway. Since I couldn't add much of the background into the button, I decided to be egoistical and splash my username all over it! It works as a watermark too *shrugs* Animated just for the fun of it too. I need to finish the exams asap AND score well, 'abstinence' from graphics is killing me.

I still have 3 layouts to complete ahhhhh. >_< I just can't get them off my mind especially with new ideas popping into my head during the exams. It's torture, I swear. And I ought to make a new page in my website for Maple related graphics, both sets and whatnot. I've learnt my lesson, NEVER take requests from Singaporeans. Reason(s)?

1: They don't credit you, unless you tell them to. Even if you tell them, 40% still won't credit you.
2: They are usually rude and keep chasing you. There are exceptions though.
3: I spend at least an hour each on their sets since they want crazy animations, and all you want as a graphics creator is for them to use the sets for 2 weeks at least. Most stop using it after less than a week.
4: If it is not up to their standards, or it is taking too long, they just cancel without pming you. Waste of my time.
5: The request rate is just too much for me to handle at times.
6: I am better off making graphics myself, or for other people who actually appreciate my hard work.

Ahhh. I seriously need to get back to studying. Perhaps I shall post on my RL blog later. Perhaps.
